Like all things in this world, 2022 is also coming to an end. As we live through the last days of the year, nostalgia has already started to kick in. And we can’t help remembering everything we did and everything that happened in the year that was.

Individually, 2022 might not have been a great year for everyone, but it certainly gave us many things to talk about. For one thing, we got to watch some of the most interesting shows and movies.

While Cameron’s Avatar: The Way of Water was the perfect year-end gift we all needed, we also got some great shows and movies from online streaming platforms. Giants like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and HBO Max led the way as usual, but the year also saw another platform proving its mettle in the streaming world: Hulu.

With binge-worthy originals like Life & Beth and The Dropout, Hulu has delivered several great releases this year. And with these great releases comes hope and anticipation of more such amazing shows and movies from Hulu.

As we enter 2023 in the next few days, the streaming platform has already lined up many much-awaited releases, all set to release the next year. And we can’t stop talking about it! Here are 9 hot upcoming releases on Hulu in 2023 that you can’t miss.

Only Murders in the Building – Season 3

Expected Release: 2023 (Dates awaited)

Only Murders got much of its momentum with the release of its second season. And we are glad it did.

The series follows neighbors Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) as they try to uncover the truth behind the death of Bunny Folger. As the trio gets deeper into the mysteries of the murder, they find themselves recording a podcast about the same.

The third season will start where its predecessor ended, and we will see the amazing Paul Rudd playing Ben Glenroy. As such, we can only expect the new season to be just as good as the first two, if not better.

From petty crimes and discourtesies to cosmic evil forces– nothing goes out of Koala Man’s mind. And his adventures are as entertaining as the jokes.

So, if you are looking for an interesting, funny, animated break, binge on Michael Cusack’s Koala Man on or after Monday, January 9.

Death in the Dorms

Expected Release: January 5

Do you know what’s more spine-chilling than an utterly realistic crime series? Real crime. And with this upcoming crime docu-series, Hulu aims to unnerve us with bloody criminal incidents.

Death in the Dorms explores cases of gruesome murders of school and college students. The series reportedly covers several such incidents wherein students across the country lost their lives due to murders. And although we haven’t seen it yet, we will only say this: Be prepared to get uncomfortable.

Snowfall – Season 6

Expected Release: February 23

The sixth and final season of one of the most-loved Hulu series, Snowfall, is finally around the corner. And as expected, it has also brought a lot of excitement, anticipation, and impatience.

In other words, we just can’t wait to see Damson Idris return as drug king Frank Saint. The Saint family is in grave danger as a civil war threatens to destroy it. Franklin now has a humongous task: to save everything while he can by safely cutting through the claws of the KGB, DIA, and CIA.

With an amazing plot, fabulous direction, and commendable performances by the lead actors, Snowfall has already proved its worth. And now, it’s time for an equally impressive conclusion.

Alien

Expected Release: 2023 (Dates Awaited)

There have been so many Alien movies and shows in the past. And here comes yet another series. But it is hardly unexpected since none of us ever gets fed up with alien stories.

The latest Alien release from Hulu is set in a futuristic Earth and is being created by acclaimed American director Noah Hawley. While we don’t know much about the story, Hawley has revealed that aliens would attack corporate, upper-class people. But that doesn’t really reveal much. So, let’s just wait and watch.

The stakes for the series are high, and we hope it stays up to expectations. Fingers crossed!

Shōgun

Expected Release: 2023 (Dates awaited)

There are several reasons why many are calling Shōgun Japan’s Game of Thrones. While we don’t know if this comparison is worthwhile, that doesn’t suppress our excitement for this much-anticipated period drama.

However, we know this: If you love action, adventure, and great stories, you just can’t miss Shōgun. The plot revolves around three lead characters– Englishman John Blackthorne (Cosmo Jarvis), Japanese daimyō Lord Toranaga (Hiroyuki Sanada), and the mysterious woman Lady Mariko (Anna Sawai). As their lives collide, we get to watch some epic adventure set in 17th-century Japan.

Moreover, the show is based on James Clavell’s 1975 bestselling novel of the same name. So that’s another reason to watch this series!
